RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position of Senior Financial Analyst at Otis WHQ supports activities of the corporation and the Otis worldwide business units in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC Financial Reporting and financial policies. This position will interface directly with Otis management, WHQ Controller and FP and A departments, Controller and business unit controllers, and Otis businesses as well as the UTC Controller's department.

Duties and responsibilities will include and are not limited to:

  • Active participation in the monthly and quarterly closing process

  • Restructuring program(s) accounting and reporting (in conjunction with Otis FP and A); includes headcount reporting

  • Prepare various quarterly financial statement analyses of consolidated financial statements required by UTC Controller's department in support of UTC's quarterly 10-Q/K filing

  • Prepare various account analysis in support of internal and UTC requirements

  • Preparation/analysis of the annual goodwill impairment testing process

  • Assist in the collection of annual data required for UTC's annual 10-K filing (E-collect, facilities reporting, etc.)

  • Government Reports oversight

  • Review and provide guidance to our in house service provider

  • Participate in the department's process improvement initiatives, using the ACE framework and continually look for opportunities to implement such improvements

  • Lead and/or support ad-hoc initiatives

Qualification:

  • Experience in Internal Audit or Public accounting is preferred

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills

  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred

  • Financial Data Management (FDM) experience preferred

  • Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement

  • Team player

  • Good communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience in Accounting

  • Master's degree preferred, not required
