Overview of Dept:

Controls segment develops hardware and software for the real-time control and diagnostics of the elevator system including motion control and safety critical applications.

Project description/duties:

Project will include the development and test of hardware to detect state of safety sensors within the elevator control system. Duties include development, build, and test of a proof-of-concept electrical circuit including supporting software to process the monitored signals.

Qualification: Experience with electrical engineering design and simulation tools (Cadence, LTspice and/or MATLAB), lab tools (ex: scope, meters, etc.) and a Programming Language (C/C++) are preferred.

Education: Full-time undergraduate and graduate students working toward a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
