Description:

The Endpoint Cybersecurity Specialist will work within the UTC Cybersecurity department reporting to up through the Executive Director, Cybersecurity. Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist with development of a strategy to increase or enhance the security of our endpoint systems

  • Manage projects to deploy security solutions to UTC’s endpoint systems

  • Implement the necessary infrastructure for the functioning of endpoint security technologies in the organization

  • Participate on endpoint technology selection activities – conduct POC of tools, vendor selection, RFP

  • Test new or upgraded hardware and software and implement new technologies

  • Identify security solutions and implement a multi-layered defense to protect the networks

  • Responsible for setting up support for the technologies selected (monitoring and 24/7 support)

  • Being able to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver successfully on projects

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in managing and delivering IT projects in large multinational organizations

  • Understanding of complex technical environments including hardware, software, COTS packages

  • Knowledgeable in systems implementations in complex technical environments

  • Proven track record of delivering projects

  • Knowledge in the implementation of endpoint security technologies

  • Problem solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and apply sound business knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed

  • Initiative and ability to quickly acquire knowledge

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical standards and requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s).

  • Master’s Degree preferred, but not required
