This position is for an established Materials Planning and SIOP professional who participates in the supply and demand planning process, and is responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of work area. May work with internal team to develop financial forecasts.
The Production Planner will coordinate all aspects of assigned products and projects for a high mix/ low volume aerospace manufacturing environment. Provide planning support on other projects as assigned. Schedule and expedite all events to exceed customer expectations.
Prepare a project and production plan using analysis of sales order, contract, and technical requirements. Enter plan into computer system. Modify material and capacity requirements as needed. Resolve problems including capacity scheduling conflicts, material allocation, WIP rework, and document changes. Review and provide input to drawings, manufacturing and test documents, and site standard procedures. Coordinate project progress through all other departments, developing solutions regarding priorities, schedules and resources. Assist in preparing bids and proposals. Report to management regarding project status and opportunities. Participate in process improvement teams.
Experiences / Qualifications:
A passion to take ownership of your assignments, and exceed customer expectations. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, ability to plan, and be well organized. Ability to establish effective working relationships. Good verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, focus on Excel and Access.
Preferred: SAP experience. One or more years' experience in an Aerospace related Production/Planning environment. APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Education / Certifications:
Preferred : BA or BS Degree in technical or business field
