The Manager, Military Aftermarket Propulsion Systems (U.S. Programs)/Business Development oversees the development of DoD and domestic marketing and capture campaigns in support of military spares parts sales, platform upgrades and retrofits for Propulsion Systems technology and production programs. Organizes and manages identification, pursuit and capture of U.S. military Propulsion Systems programs with a focus on achieving Propulsion Systems financial goals and positioning for future growth related to the U.S. market. This position reports directly to the Military Aftermarket Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages the aftermarket business development/marketing strategy specifically for Propulsion Systems aftermarket for the domestic US military market, including analytical research, forecasting, business modeling, sensitivity analysis, and presentations in an organized manner to Interiors Leadership Management team.

  • Initiates customer engagement (e.g. industry events, customer visits, submittal of proposals) to develop new sales pursuits and to advocate for VOC alignment to the technology road map.

  • Monitors DoD procurement (fedbizopps) to identify bid opportunities and develop winning capture strategies for legacy business.

  • Prepares executive business case summaries in accordance with the Interiors and Central Customer Services Bid/No-Bid form in support of new business opportunities for the domestic US military market.

  • Responsible to ensure the timely and accurate proposal activity through the Contracts and Proposal Management teams; both within Interiors and the centralized Customer Services organizations.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with 10 plus years of related experience

Advanced Degree from an accredited institution with 7 plus years of related experience preferred

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Technical experience working Propulsion Systems-specific products preferred

  • BA/BS Degree in related field required; Advanced Degree preferred

  • Working knowledge of ITAR and BATF compliance requirements for Propulsion Systems

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team building ability

  • Strong influencing skills in a matrix organization

  • Strong continuous improvement and customer focus

  • Proven track record of demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read and understand contract documents

  • Strong customer focus with a good business acumen

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to act strategically and tactically to support successful project completion
