Specific responsibilities of this role include:
Review and update standard planning through analysis of engineering, restructuring of planning and elimination of waste from the manufacturing process.
Help drive ergonomic improvements in the line to help facilitate injury reduction and process optimization.
Review standard tooling and generate product engineering change requests to better facilitate product realization.
Interns will be employed full-time for the summer.
At the end of the program Interns will be expected to make a presentation to senior management, detailing highlights of their experience and accomplishments.
Interns will be assigned to first shift, which is from 6:30AM to 3:00PM.
Occasional overtime assignments may be required, including weekends.
Education / Certifications: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework.
Knowledge of PC/Software
Interested in pursuing future employment with Collins Aerospace.
Should have leadership skills and ability as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular activities, paid/volunteer work, etc.
Have excellent writing skills.
Have clearly defined career goals that complement the goals of a manufacturing company.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
