The Pratt & Whitney Customer Training Center (CTC) is seeking an experienced individual to lead next generation Extended Reality (XR) training solutions. Using the latest commercial hardware and software, you will have the ability to prototype, build, and develop tools and processes to best deploy effective and repeatable XR training across the organization. You will also develop strategies to embed this training into multiple processes and to drive consistent quality standards.
You will be responsible for sharing knowledge and techniques in collaboration with ongoing 3D modeling and animation projects. This position supports both Military and Commercial engine customers.
Collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers and Subject Matter Experts to evaluate business needs, training requests and knowledge gaps that are conducive to 3D/VR/AR/MR solutions.
Guide the interaction design and information architecture definition process to craft intuitive interactions for both novice and experienced users.
Write clean, well-documented, readable, and easily maintainable code.
Diagnose, document and execute on issues reported by testers and users.
Keep up with emerging trends and software/hardware advancements in real-time computer graphics and the XR industry.

US Citizen due to Government contracts
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Computer engineering, information technology, human-computer interaction, or game design degree
Above-average experience in lowel-level computer graphics programming (OpenGL / DirectX) or commercial game engines (Unity3D, Unreal, CryEngine/ Lumberyard)
Experience developing on consumer VR/AR/MR hardware (i.e. Oculus, HTC Vive, HoloLens platform).
Familiarity with standard VR/AR/MR development, hardware, software, best practices, and design patterns.
Ability to understand business needs, articulate trade-offs and discuss solutions with business and development teams.
Ability to find creative solutions to abstract design problems, particularly with respect to translating real-world concepts and interactions into a VR/AR/MR environment.
Knowledge of 3D graphics fundamentals such as shaders, lighting models, file formats, etc.
