The Pratt and Whitney Military Customer Support & Services Commercial Product Line Management organization is seeking an individual who will be responsible for leading the development of engine maintenance data to meet program level requirements for engine certification, engine entry in to service and sustainment activities for a PurePower® engine program. You will be responsible for executing the development of engine maintenance data in accordance with the S1000D industry specification, defining maintenance manuals requirements as it pertains to authoring and publishing in to an Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP), defining and implementing new processes for the creation of maintenance data, coordinating with airframers, customers and suppliers, leading program budgets and overall management responsibilities for the delivery of maintenance data.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define and develop engine maintenance requirements as it pertains to overhaul.

  • Provide ongoing status to program office on development timelines and schedule.

  • Define and implement authoring requirements as they pertain to the development of maintenance procedures.

  • Handle supplier workloads in the development of maintenance procedures.

  • Manage/monitor source data incoming to organization. Log and assign work.

  • Work with the customer related to aircraft level maintenance data requirements.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree w/ 4 + years’ experience

  • 6-+ years Commercial/military engine overhaul maintenance experience and hardware knowledge

  • 6 + years of Demonstrated success in managing projects

  • Experience in a customer support/engine maintenance/task development role

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/MS degree w/ 2+ years’ experience

  • Possess knowledge and understanding of technical publication requirements as it pertains to FAA regulatory requirements and industry specifications​

  • Demonstrated adaptability and capability to manage multiple priorities in parallel

  • Advanced understanding of S1000D specification, XML, use of Arbortext and authoring style formatting requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (clear and concise in written and verbal communications)

  • Extremely strong project management skills

  • Able to assess and process business needs quickly

  • Able to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Focus on customer service and support is a must

  • Able to work well in a team environment

  • Self-motivated, self-reliant and capable of independent work

  • Ability and capacity to gain a thorough knowledge of the relevant specialty area

  • Willing to travel to customer sites both foreign and domestic (10% travel)
