Pratt and Whitney is home to a world-class Survivability Engineering Group consisting of IR, RCS, and Vulnerability disciplines. Team members often work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and interact with various disciplines at Pratt & Whitney. We are seeking an intern to join our Vulnerability team for the summer of 2019.

The Vulnerability team works on a diverse array of products, and the prospective intern should be prepared to apply their learnings in unique and creative ways.

Your internship will pair you with team members from the Survivability Group and will require you to complete one or more tasks over the course of the summer, depending on your skillset. The ideal candidate will have taken course work and shown interest in physics, propulsion systems, computational finite element modeling, or computer-aided model development (e.g., NX).

The candidate should be a self-starter. Although not immediately required, the candidate should be capable of ultimately obtaining a secret clearance.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have experience or applicable course work with physics, propulsion systems, computational finite element modeling, or model development using NX

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills

  • Willingness to work independently or with teams

  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Education:

At least two years of college experience in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineer is required. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
