Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of our engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. They integrate design across engine system modules and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.

The Diagnostic, Prognostic and Health Management (DPHM) discipline within our group is responsible for the development and deployment of groundbreaking diagnostics, prognostics, analytics and Usage Based Lifing (UBL) for our engines and components. They also deploy state of the art development tools & methodologies in collaboration with the business. DPHM runs the gambit as system engineers from the documentation of aircraft interfaces and onboard PHM and data collection system development, detailing how data is captured and secured, building some of those solutions and then working to define how we receive, store, analyze that same data to produce value and visualize those insights. They also provide field support helping drive field event investigation, and monitoring of control and diagnostic system components.

  • Development of Usage Based Lifing (UBL) Algorithms

  • Control and Diagnostic Field Support Efforts

  • On-board systems engineering and development

  • Analytic platform development

  • Performance, Mechanical system, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence analytic development

  • Aircraft and airframe requirements integration

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • ​Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or Data Science with 5 years of experience in data capture, data transition, data storage and analysis, and data visualization, OR ​Masters Degree in Engineering, or Data Science with 4 years of experience in data capture, data transition, data storage and analysis, and data visualization, OR PhD Degree in Engineering, or Data Science with 2 years of experience in data capture, data transition, data storage and analysis, and data visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Basic Heat Transfer & Structural Engineering, Data science (software engineering, machine learning), requirements development, and coding (e.g. – Python, Matlab)

Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or Data Science OR ​Masters Degree in Engineering, or Data Science OR PhD Degree in Engineering, or Data Science
