Description:

Global Services Engineering (GSE), located in East Hartford Connecticut, is looking for a software/methods engineer with a love for software development. The methods team is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing repair/maintenance software. This includes the automation of both technical and business processes that will enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in gas turbine engine repairs and reduce the cost of maintaining our parts, components, and engines. Qualified candidates will most likely be mechanical engineers who have strong design/programming ability or software engineers who have an inclination towards developing applications to support mechanical engineers. A qualified candidate will also need to be a very good communicator and team player. They will need to learn and understand the needs of the engineering organization and translate those needs into clear software requirements which will drive the design, development, and testing of high quality software for the engineering organization. This is an opportunity for full stack development and being involved in all stages of the software development process.

Qualification:

Candidate must be a US Citizen. Working knowledge of ANSYS/NASTRAN a plus. Awareness of manufacturing repair processes and/or composites experience a plus. Experience in Unigraphics, or equivalent 3D modeling software, is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering (including but not limited to software engineering)
