The Operations Transformation team is responsible for envisioning and planning the future of Pratt & Whitney’s global manufacturing and supply chain operations. In this rare position as a Senior Manager based in East Hartford, CT you would report to the Director, Operations Strategic Planning. You will collaborate across Module Centers, Product Delivery Centers, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Quality, and Group Strategy. Critical thinking, collaboration, and communication will be a large part of this role.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and projects in the areas of technology, workforce, value streams, and lean production to achieve competitive advantage.

  • Align strategies, processes and resources to achieve long term, business goals.

  • Conduct meetings regarding complex subjects to drive decision-making.

  • Participate in business case development including brainstorming scenarios.

  • Assist with implementation of a strategic planning process, including capital allocation, and risk and performance management.

  • Lead projects, such as implementation of metrics in conjunction with Digital Technology.

  • Contribute to Operations integration with Policy Deployment.

  • Research competitive environment.

  • Build and create reports and presentations for internal and external audiences, such as All Hands briefings, and P&W and UTC strategic briefings. Ultimately, the recommendations produced by the team will support decision-making by Senior Leadership.

  • Providing strategic alternatives and aligning strategies with objectives across the company will be key.

US Citizenship is required for this role due to government contracts.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7+ years of experience in operations or business field or program management or engineering that includes a cumulative experience of 3 + years of project experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering.

  • Aerospace or automotive experience a plus.

  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights.

  • Intellectual curiosity with a test and learn approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with event logistics and technical needs of executives.

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills combined with an executive presence and confidence interacting with senior executive leadership.

  • Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Associate Certification.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree.
