Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control, and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate design across engine system modules with the air vehicles, and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle. The Programs and Systems Integration group within CDS is seeking qualified, highly motivated, and high-energy candidates for critical Project Engineering roles on the Next Generation Propulsion Family of Geared Turbofan (NGPF) engines.

As a NGPF programs Project Engineer you will perform technical, project and financial oversight and management of tasks related to control system software and hardware subsystems product development, delivery, and in-service support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and negotiate among multi-functional internal and external partners in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Facilitate technical, project, business, and product configuration management processes as well as provide expert proficiency with relevant project planning, requirements management, and earned value management tools.

  • Demonstrate technical understanding of engine control system hardware/software design, verification, and validation processes.

  • Demonstrate strong computer hardware & software skills.

  • Exhibit teaming abilities together with good written, and oral interpersonal skills.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering

  • 5 years of experience in control system engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering

  • Experience with successful Agile software development programs

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
