Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? We have a rare opportunity for a talented Product Security Engineering Lead to be based in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control, and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate design across engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.

With the continually changing cybersecurity threat landscape, CDS has established a Product Security Officer position to coordinate product security activities across all programs and customers. As a Security Officer you will focus on ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements & UTC policies through the maturation of product security processes, tools and practitioner development.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish organization product security framework.

  • Develop product and technology risk profiles and security strategies across all programs.

  • Build and execute a cyberphysical security discipline maturation program.

  • Lead product certification efforts with various governmental agencies.

  • Exhibit strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

  • Develop organizational disciplines.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • 8 years experience in developing complex embedded software systems.

  • Experience with various cyberphysical security standards & frameworks.

  • US Citizen due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

  • Experience with embedded system cybersecurity technologies and techniques.

  • Experience with aerospace software certification standards.

  • Current Secret Clearance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
