In this role you will be involved with and will lead focused materials and processes technology efforts to support Module Center efforts, including technology transition, field issues or new technology definition:

  • Work with and build cross-disciplinary teams within MPE to conduct project efforts.

  • Responsible for defining MPE Cross-Disciplinary Teams, Defining and Organizing Project Plans, Successful Deliver of Technology to ModCenters and Engine Programs, and Successful and Complete Communication to ModCenter and CIPT Teams.

  • Collaborate with all MPE Disciplines, including materials and manufacturing process modeling, technology development, and material and component testing and characterization areas to ensure the appropriate activities and actions are being taken to support ModCenter and Engine Program Projects.

  • 30% travel

Qualification: To be successful in this position, you should have the following experience:

Required Qualifications:

BS degree in Materials, Chemical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

12+ years of aerospace manufacturing or supply-chain experience.

12+ years of domain expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Material Properties,

  • Component Validation Testing,

  • Failure Analysis,

  • Forging,

  • Manufacturing Processes,

  • Material and Manufacturing Process Modeling and its application to new process and component development.

  • Strong project leadership/ownership, team building, and communication skills and ability to present to all levels or the organization.

US Person (Permanent Green Card or US Citizen) due to program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Materials, Chemical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years’ experience

  • Excellent Judgment and professional maturity

  • The ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communication
