Description:

The HSE F135 Project engineers support the F135 Military Program and work closely with the F135 DCT (Diffuser-Combustor-Turbine) CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team). This Project team handles any and all issues that arise on the F135 Diffuser, Combustor, Fuel Nozzle, High Pressure Turbine and Low Pressure Turbine components. Typical tasks include product design modifications (CLI Engineering Changes), CIP (Component Improvement Program) product enhancements, Production Component Delivery Issues, Manufacturing Process Improvement Activities (CLII ECs), Root Cause Investigations (3 In-process), Development Engine Program Support (i.e. Build-Test-Teardown, ACIs- Analytical Condition Inspection, FMRs- Failure Malfunction Report), Field Investigations (2 Actively working today) as well as Field Sustainment Activities (Merlins-Field Inquiries, Deviation Requests, Component Limits). In addition, the Project engineer would be trained as a Military EV (Earn Value) CAM which would enable the management of budgets, drive task schedules and report status to the Program. Today, the F135 DCT CIPT is heavily focused on Production component deliveries to ensure PW meets our critical customer engine delivery requirements. Production activities would require the Project engineer to work with our Industrial lead, Purchasing contact and the supplier, etc. to resolve any issues that could be affect the timely delivery of DCT components. The other area of prime focus is Field Sustainment which means being Depot Ready for the first fielded engine to reach overhaul by 2020. The Integrated Product Teams are canvasing all the requirements needed to be Depot Ready and executing tasks in an expeditious manner to ensure there will be no gaps in component requirements for that first F135 Depot engine. PW is an historic place which requires diligence, focus and flawless execution to be all we can be in the industry.
