We have a rare opportunity for a Fleet Manager at our East Hartford, CT campus.

We are undergoing significant growth and are poised to be a leader in commercial engine sales and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities.

Our fleet managers are on the front line of administering aftermarket business opportunities and play a key role in driving the Company’s profitability.

The Fleet Programs group oversees long-term engine maintenance agreements (i.e. contracts) with commercial airline customers. The combined size of our business portfolio of contracts is over $30B in lifetime sales. Contractual services include engine overhaul and repair, on-wing and off-wing maintenance planning, coordination of on-wing services, engine health monitoring and logistical support.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Fleet managers lead and own a piece of our business portfolio and focus on two key functions:

You will work in a customer-facing capacity with airline customers to deliver contract services and ensure reliable engine operations, and You will propose and execute strategies for optimizing the profitability of some of our largest and most complex contracts. Of paramount importance is maintaining timely and accurate engine removal forecasts, scheduling customer engines for required maintenance and coordinating work with global engine center network overhaul and repair shops and technical teams.

  • You will utilize collaboration and business discernment skills to partner with analysts to perform technical evaluations in addition to detailed financial and data analyses.

  • The ability to create Standard Work processes and work instructions.

  • Provide feedback to the annual contract valuation process, supporting new sales and contract restructuring campaigns and handling the work scope and cost of each engine shop visit.

  • Must be a US Citizen due to government contracts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; STEM or business field of study preferred.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional financial analysis and contract management work experience is required.

  • 5 years of cross-functional teaming experience

  • Minimum 3 years of prior application of continuous improvement methodologies/tools/practices in former positions held.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or other advanced degree in a STEM or MBA preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional financial analysis and contract management work experience

  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation and data management/analysis skills -

  • Validated leadership skills coupled with a history of attaining results through influence and collaboration

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate across teams to accomplish shared goals

  • You have a fundamental understanding of gas turbine engines, airline operations and engine maintenance practices

  • Prior customer-facing work experience in a technical or business role is a huge plus.
