The Facilities & Services Maintenance Organization is seeking a candidate to complete an internship. The primary goal for this position is to work within the P&W CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) computer application. This internship will provide professional hands-on work experience for candidates with proven academic performance and leadership potential.

The Facilities & Services Maintenance Organization is responsible for safe operation of campus buildings and supporting infrastructure such as roadways, parking lots, building grounds, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment/systems, electrical substations and distribution, plumbing systems, industrial gas system and structures.

The Intern will support project engineers and supervisors in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of the F&S Maintenance group. The Intern may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a network.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Evaluate existing data in the P&W CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) module.

  • Print reports, meet with facilities work groups to identify gaps and establish action plans.

  • Research of current systems/equipment & associated work processes.

  • Perform data collection in factory and office building areas, review raw data with facilities work groups and edit CMMS records and analyze data output for quality assurance.

  • Create draft work instructions for facility equipment and assist with maintenance plans.

  • Work closely with cross-functional groups including quality, production, safety, engineering, and maintenance.

  • Provide administrative support by coordinating and supporting meetings as requested by leadership.

  • Develop and present reports detailing project progression.

Qualification: Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).

Excellent communication and writing skills

Well organized and detail oriented

Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to a changing environment and maintain priorities

Working in a team environment

US Citizenship is required

Education: Candidates must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Construction Management with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
