Job Description

We are looking for someone who will contribute to the continuous refinement of the Program’s initiatives within the functional areas of global transportation, International Trade Compliance (ITC), and data integration. You will have a broad logistics support background, enabling rapid contribution to the F135 Program’s continuing growth and the pursuit of game-changing operational efficiencies across all three of these functional areas. This includes extensive experience with tactical execution of air and land-based shipping across both domestic and international regions. You will be responsibile for:

  • Managing relationships with freight forwarders to drive adherence to transportation metrics

  • Working within export/import documentation requirements associated with the movement of aerospace/defense hardware governed by either the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulation (EAR)

  • Viewing/Transacting skills within the SAP materials management suite, and/or bolt-on programs related to the management of global trade or global transportation systems (i.e. Global Trade Service (GTS), Transportation Management System (TMS))

  • Exercising these skills in both tactical execution and strategic planning settings: daily tactical execution via the directed movement of spare materials across a global enterprise that supports a multinational fighter aircraft program; in a strategy capacity to address, refine, and to document standard work related to the set-up of these international supply lines.

  • Supporting the authoring and implementation of repeatable, compliant transportation processes across the Program.

  • Supporting the growth of a multi-shift supply chain operation, so strong communication of in-process priorities is essential.

There is significant growth potential for the person who demonstrates the ability to excel in these roles. Selectee will support work throughput of the Program’s Logistics Integration Manager and supporting Transportation Manager.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience

  • 3+ years in shipping/ supply chain

  • US citizen due to DoD contract

Preferred Qualification

  • Strong analytical skills with propensity to logically organize sets of data into a presentable format

  • Knowledge of international trade

  • Experience with aerospace supply chain and transportation

  • Familiarity with bills of material, spares forecasting, and configuration management

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field.
