The F135 MRO&U Depot Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day production activities including disassembly, assembly and test of F135 engines and modules. Executes statement of work requirements provided by the onsite Logistics Program Manager and prioritizes daily activities to meet customer needs.

This role is responsible for the relationship between P&W and the Product Support Provider (PSP) with respect to operational execution, providing direction to all P&W personnel on site and key Product Support Provider management personnel.

The Operations Manager also assists in the development of strategic planning such as the development of forecasts, financial planning and training. Excellent organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills are important. This position will also assist in activation aspects of the MRO&U.

This position may require the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance and access requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be leading a matrixed team of experienced leaders and individual contributors, overseeing processes and procedures to ensure production schedules and priorities are met.

  • Establishing contacts with key stakeholders to resolve operations complaints and establish the appropriate improvement plan.

  • The Depot Operations Manager will assist in maintaining quality and consistency of service by documenting and identifying trends in customer service needs.

  • You’ll also be the responsible site leader for all aspects of EH&S including Cardinal Rule compliance, site security and support equipment.

  • Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet contractual and customer requirements while ensuring a high level of customer and employee satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or a technical field

  • 7+ years of Operations experience in Production or MRO&U Assembly/Test environment

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role to include leading employees in a matrix organization

  • US Citizen due to government contracts

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain all required work permits and other access requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with F135 Production/Depot level maintenance preferred

  • Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships with suppliers and/or partners is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and exceeding customer expectations in an MRO operations or production environment a plus

  • Must have excellent business ethics, communication, listening, business judgment, teamwork, and developing talent competencies.

  • Ability to effectively lead and team with multiple functional groups to reach a common objective

  • Excellent communication skills; candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management

  • Ability to influence decisions downstream and upstream

  • Must be willing to flex schedule to support business demands while on assignment to include working weekends and holiday.
