The engine program that powers the F-35 has a high visibility position for a motivated, self-starting F135 Customer Support Engineering (CSE) ALIS Support Engineer. As part of Military Customer Support & Services, you will support customers in the field across three different US military services and multiple international customers.

This role will be supporting the sustainment of the F135 propulsion system within the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). The selected candidate will be working directly with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) and Pratt & Whitney Field Services Engineers to address ALIS related field issues. The person will also coordinate and manage deliveries to Lockheed Martin in support of data updates.

Responsibilities within this position include:

  • Regular hours will be from 12pm to 8pm EST to support international customers and domestic customers in the west coast

  • Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for ALIS data issues

  • Respond to field inquiries via Action Requests (AR)

  • Reconcile ALIS engine life data discrepancies

  • Create and update Propulsion Aircraft Data Load (PADL) files for aircraft load

  • Update and correct Propulsion Aircraft Interface Health Management (PAIHM) XML files for ALIS consumption

  • Support ALIS Enterprise Testing

  • Occasional weekend support may be required to support the operational fleet

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science required

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, computer science, field service operations

  • Experience with engine systems operation, software development processes and configuration management

  • US Citizenship required due to Government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training

  • Software Testing experience

  • Experience with Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)

  • F135 Sustainment experience is desired

  • Project management experience

  • Flexibility, adaptability and responsiveness to the handle urgent field requests

  • Strong organization skills with ability to effectively schedule and track issues to closure through written documentation

  • Ability to perform multiple projects of varied size and scope

  • Good communication skills to work in a team environment
