We are searching for a dynamic Customer Fleet Director (CFD) to be the primary point of contact for our commercial airline customers located in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.

This position will be located in East Hartford and will work closely with the Regional Customer Fleet Director and Airline Customer Focus Team(s) to drive customer happiness, acting as the focal point for issues the customers may experience operating and maintaining IAE and P&W products.

You will be the voice of the customer to our company, while also representing us to the customer. The CFD position entails three main responsibilities; Technical, Business and supervision & career development of direct reports in the field.

Management Responsibilities Include:

As the leader, you'll provide direction to your regional field office members who help provide 24/7 support resolving customer problems. This role is key in managing customer relationships ensuring our team provides world-class service leading to customer happiness. You will also drive internal organizations’ action plans and continuously monitor and provide customer input to address and resolve customer issues.

Ensure field office staffing satisfies customer and business needs, by preparing and maintaining succession plans for critical positions, and guiding field personnel career development to both improve proficiency in their current assignment and develop meaningful skills to fulfill future goals.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with P&W Engine Services in the management of IAE Fleet Hourly Agreements (FHAs) and P&W Fleet Management Programs (FMPs), work with customer and internal organizations to develop support proposals to address non-contractual warranty claims, and identify and communicate sales and service opportunities to appropriate business unit and sales managers.

Technical Responsibilities Include:

You will develop and lead entry into service (EIS) plans to ensure smooth integration of new products into your customers’ fleets.

Using customer input and other intelligence, your goal is to provide accurate shop visit forecasts for the IAE and P&W powered fleets, and maintain the forecast monthly, communicating shop visit requirements and changes for planning purposes.

The CFD serves as focal for communicating plans and coordinating resources required to minimize operational disruptions. You'll work with Customers, Customer Technical Service, Programs, Spares and Fleet Teams to develop and execute fleet management plans aimed at resolving fleet technical issues. Establish joint improvement plans with airline and execute. Actively manage emerging fleet issues. Anticipate new issues by monitoring airline’s reliability performance.

Travel requirements:

•International travel (20 to 30%) to customer regions and other business partners with periods that can extend up to two weeks per trip.

Basic Qualifications:

•You have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Supply Chain.

•You are a US Person (Permanent Greed Card or US Citizen).

•You have a valid US Passport.

•You have 8 years of experience in Fleet Management, Customer Service, Business Development, Operations Management, Aftermarket Supply Chain and/or Engineering within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

•You've completed your graduate degree or MBA program.

•You have managed employees for more than 3 years.

•You have 10 years’ experience in an Aftermarket or Repair Station facility.

•Your experience includes holding positions in Fleet or Program Management, Repair Station Engineering Management or other Client facing roles.

•You are comfortable traveling internationally with periods extending over two weeks at a time.

•You have supported clients overseas in international time zones.
