Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines Aftermarket Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) performs engine overhaul and repair services for various Pratt & Whiney engines. Aftermarket Operations (AMO) is comprised of various businesses across North America & Asia Pacific consisting of 11 repair sites, 6 engine overhaul shops, and global procurement. The Controls Manager will be responsible for the oversight and governance of the AMO control environment and ensuring compliance with GAAP, UTC and P&W policies and procedures. The Controls Manager will also partner with the repair units and Engine Centers providing guidance on technical, policy and control related matters; including sharing best practices across the network where appropriate. Responsibilities of the Controls Manager may include, but are not limited to: • Provide direct oversight and governance of the AMO control environment for all units across the globe. Including monitoring and reporting of control related issues and helping ensure compliance to P&W policies & procedures • Partner with MRO units, providing guidance and clarification on GAAP, controls and P&W policy related questions • Communicate GAAP and policy related changes to all AMO units to ensure timely adoption and consistent execution across all sites • Track and report controls metrics to BU and executive leadership, including CFO of Commercial Engines Aftermarket and VP and Controller of Pratt & Whitney • Document policy exceptions and pinpoint potential risk areas and mitigation strategies • Support VP Aftermarket with documentation to support quarterly rep letter certification • Help drive SOX and UTC Internal audit observations and recommendations to closure • Travel to business units for site visits and audit support when necessary Education • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Accounting Experience/Qualifications: • U.S. citizenship required • 5 years’ experience in Accounting and/or Control related functions; showing increased responsibility and progression • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals across all levels of an organization, including executive management • Ability to prioritize projects while still delivering quality work timely • Willingness to travel to various units as necessary Preferred Qualifications: • Candidate must exhibit excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to work with all levels within an organization. Candidate must also have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
