Your Responsibilities:

As a Contract Manager - Advanced Military Development Programs, you will be responsible for the support of proposal development, performing the review and negotiation of contract terms and conditions, and administration of the resulting contracts for various research and development programs with the Government, other Government prime contractors, and other customers. You will be the primary focal point for external and internal customers regarding contract issues and interpretation of contract requirements; therefore strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. You will have the opportunity to exercise discretion and work independently. Partner with the Military Advanced Engine Programs teams on various proposals and bringing to contract, agreements which will advance the technologies of P&W future engines. The Contract Manager will be responsible for the contract from start to contract closeout. Interact with the Technical Engineering and Programs teams closely in the formation of contracts which develop new technology and applications. This position requires significant social interaction with various managers within the organization. You will need to be an independent learner and possess proven team working skills. You should possess strong document drafting skills, an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues, and familiarity with ACE process improvement tools.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 + yrs of experience handling customer contracts

  • US Citizen due to program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree w/4 +years of customer contract experience

  • Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Significant social interaction with various Program Managers and Business Managers within the organization

  • Independent learner, possess strong team working skills, strong document drafting skills, have an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues, and be familiar with ACE process improvement tools

  • Experience working Technology Investment Agreements, Cooperation Agreements, or CRADA is a plus but not required.
