Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most advanced Commercial and Military Turbine Engines, is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Hot Section Module Center.

The Cell Leader will be responsible for overall management of 3rd shift operations, to ensure customer/business objectives are met. Individual will work closely with all cell leaders and the HSMC North leadership team to ensure and obtain resources, quality issues and other goals.

You will provide direction to skilled HSMC North bargaining unit employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Control Tower objectives. Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE) is our operating system and we will look for you to lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements. In addition to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.

Typical duties may include, but not limited to the following:

•Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes

•Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities

•Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance workload

•Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals

•Demonstrate a 100% dedication to quality, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE).

Qualification:

Basic Qualification:

•Required is a Bachelor’s Degree Operations, Engineering, Business or related field.

•U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contract

•Currently hold OR have the ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

•4+ years of Operations experience within a Manufacturing and/or Shop Floor environment

•Experience supervising Unionized employees if preferred

•Proven track record in team leadership roles

•Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively

•You have an understanding and the ability to drive quality and customer happiness through Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE) operating system

•Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) Principles (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE), Quality Control Process Charts (QCPC), etc.)

Education: BA/BS Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business or related field is required
