Description:

The Hot Section Engineering Advanced Methods group is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing design tools and processes. These tools and processes enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in gas turbine engine technology. The primary focus of this group is for Hot Section Engineering, but requires coordination and collaboration with other methods groups within Pratt & Whitney. This position would involve working with the Advanced Methods group and initially being on projects involving parametric modeling and NX automation. Our NX automation team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of both new and legacy CAD automation tools in the NX environment. In addition, the group helps drive the proficiency advancement of parametric CAD modeling inside Hot Section Engineering by working to develop modeling best practices and ESW and drive it’s usage within the organization.

Qualification: Required Qualifications:

4+ years experience with a Bachelor's degree 2+ experience with a Master's degree

US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with NX (or equivalent CAD package) modeling and experience with parametric modeling techniques

Programming experience required, preferably with object-oriented languages (Java, C++) and/or scripting languages (Perl, Python). Experience with programming in the NXOpen environment is not required but is highly desirable. - Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Demonstrated teaming skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, personnel, suppliers, and customers. Must be able to work in an export controlled environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Engineering field required.
