Description:

The Advanced Concepts Methods Associate Engineer is a technical engineering role in the Advanced Concepts & Technology Department at Pratt & Whitney. The Advanced Concepts Methods Associate Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development of concept optimization tools and methodologies consisting of simulation and modeling integration, automation, and design exploration methods. This set of tools and methodology is aimed at conducting system level trade studies for integrated advanced engine concepts. The Advanced Concepts Methods Associate Engineer will work with the Advanced Concepts Methods team to mature and advance this tool set and support the Advanced Concept Studies team with using the tools for advanced innovative propulsion system studies.

Qualification: Candidates must have a B.S. Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Candidates should have strong creative thinking skills and a passion for learning and discovery. Candidates should have a strong background in math and computer science and a strong interest in applying these skills to engineering concept design processes.. Preferred candidates would include those that have experience with numerical algorithms, optimization techniques, Java and C++ programming. Knowledge of simulation workflow tools such as Isight are a plus. Only US citizens should apply.
