We at ISR & Space Systems are world leaders in high altitude electro-optical sensors, employed by the U.S. and foreign military in time critical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. We value people, integrity, ideas and performance. We are currently looking for a SYSTEMS ENGINEER for the Danbury, CT facility.
Provide systems engineering for the integration of existing and new electrical and electro-optical UTAS systems with customer platforms
Develop & maintain requirements based on customer platform interface definitions and System Performance Requirements
Perform allocation and decomposition of requirements amongst multiple disciplines (Software, Electrical, etc.)
Work in a collaborative environment with other engineering disciplines, Program Management, and the customer community
Develop requirements for the implementation and verification of embedded software solutions to enable system integration
Support system verification & certification activities. This may include support of system integration with the host platform and field support and testing.
Support the development of next generation electro-optical and survivability systems to meet customer mission needs
Education / Certifications
BS/BE in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical degree or experience
1-3 years’ experience in systems architecture development/support, requirements development and implementation.
Systems engineering on distributed embedded hardware and software systems
Space vehicle sensor pointing algorithm development with MATLAB and STK orbital models
Space vehicle deorbit casualty risk determination with NASA DAS
Department process documentation audits to determine consistency and guide future streamline efforts
Ability to execute on cross-functional requirements development
System & design validation experience
Verification development & support
SysML/UML experience preferred
Knowledge of system performance modeling/simulation approaches and associated tools
Experience and ability in the preparation of technical reports and presentations
CANDIDATE MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND MUST EITHER HOLD A CURRENT US DoD CLEARANCE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A CLEARANCE.
