J ob Description Responsible for coordination of engine shop production requirements and ensuring quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair of the F119 Engine.

  • Communicate requirements and information to team members through coordination with Supervisor and Site Manager.

  • Interface and coordinate with various other functions (Quality, Local FSR’s, APS, BEM’s, Customers, etc.) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.

  • Coordinate with Supervisor/Site Manager on a daily basis the work priorities and assign day-to-day tasks to team members.

  • Perform the work necessary to build, test, and inspect Pratt & Whitney F119 gas turbine engines.

  • As required, work with engineering to develop tooling and devise methods to build engines and related component test hardware.

  • Proved related support for engine test programs and associated projects.

  • Typical duties will include: Investigate problems and make repairs or modifications as necessary.

  • Perform a variety of related duties to support of alternate engine programs.

  • Act as a mentor/trainer for other team members or employees training to achieve Engine Mechanic or Sr. Engine Technician status.

  • Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required.

  • Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or develop the individual’s skills.

  • Handle process related waste in accordance with approved documented work instructions.

  • Have the ability to work overtime and 2nd shift to assist our customer with anything they may require.

  • Perform full and intermediate level maintenance and repair on engines, modules and components.

  • Perform routine maintenance of support equipment.

  • Local support for investigations and process improvement activity, management of process related waste in accordance with approved work instructions, and additional tasks in support of business objectives.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of the F119-PW-100 Gas Turbine Engines.

  • Borescope/Blade Blend experience, familiarity with flight line maintenance operations, knowledge of non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment, and a proven ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals.

  • You must also be able to work atop maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, and lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet.

  • You should able to use computers and have proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ideal candidates should be detail oriented and have a high level of attention to work being performed.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment with changing/multiple priorities, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work independently.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Education/Certifications

High school graduate or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of Teardown, Build-up, and Inspection of the F119-PW-100 Gas Turbine Engines Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer controls F119 Special certifications (Red X, IPI, Borescope, Blade Blend) Preferred qualifications: 5+ year of air force maintenance systems experience.

Previous experience in Aerospace/ Military Aircraft Airframe & Power plant License Experience/Familiarity with local Hawaiian culture/customs is a plus

Experience/Familiarity working with HIANG personnel a plus

• Minimum (5) year experience in the tear-down, build-up or inspection of jet engines.

• Strong communication skills. Be self-motivated and a self- starter

• Ability to lift heavy objects as required

• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others in diverse work environment.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation for advanced propulsion systems.

• This position requires an individual who is detail oriented. Accuracy in work performed is a must.

• Must have a secret clearance, or the ability to acquire one within one year. Must maintain all required clearances and access.

• Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements

• Comply with the Quality Policy and applicable and company Quality rules and procedures.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software is required.
