The Digital Cyber Security Operations team is seeking an individual to serve as the Security Operations lead for Cork, Ireland. The Cyber Security Operations team is the operational arm of UTC's Cybersecurity & Digital Risk team. This role will be responsible for providing 24x7 support for all Cyber endpoint & network tools maintaining stability of security systems and applications, ensuring operational readiness. This will involve maturing our endpoint defenses, developing automated controls for visibility, secure design recommendations, contributions in defining our strategy. We also support all investigations and incident response for IT activities as needed.

Some Tasks include:

Support UTC Cyber specific security tools/processes: DLP (Data Loss Prevention), Anti-Virus, Host Based Intrusion Prevention, EDR (Endpiont Detect Respond), email tools, Network IDS/IPS and SIEM

Manage security product rollouts to UTC and Business Unit computing environments

Document and maintain management controls, narratives and test scripts

Work with UTC and BU incident response teams to improve cyber defense capability

Responding to virus, malware, spam outbreaks as needed

Working with project teams to ensure secure implementations

Define key metrics to demonstrate program success

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s). IT Security-related credentials (such as CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional) preferred. ITIL certification a plus. Master's Degree preferred but not required

Qualifications

Several years' work experience supporting Cyber Security tools in a enterprise environment.

Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows and Active Directory, UNIX / Linux.

Experience with automation a big plus with scripting background in VB, PowerShell, Python or similar platforms.

Experience with endpoint technologies such as anti-malware, HIPS, EDR, DLP (data loss prevention), IPS / IDS (intrusion prevention / detection system).

Displays a sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Ability to multi-task and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to maximize time-management and efficiencies.

Problem solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and apply sound business knowledge.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Initiative and ability to quickly acquire knowledge.

Understanding of basic project management principles.
