This position is part of the Engine Build Up - Systems and Component team. Your role will be to develop and manage supplier designed equipment and systems integration of engine anti-icing systems on existing and new engine platforms. The position involves systems integration, supplier product development, qualification, and overall life-cycle management. This position may require travel to interface with suppliers, support engine or aircraft manufacturers, participate in qualification testing or design reviews.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Design, support and be responsible for engine anti-icing systems and anti-icing valves on new and existing engine platforms

  • Develop and document requirements for engine anti-icing systems on new aircraft

  • Write and develop engine anti-icing system requirement documents and component technical procurement specifications to procure complex supplier designed equipment

  • Lead preliminary and critical design reviews to our external customers (aircraft and engine manufactures) and internal program technical leadership customer

  • Lead supplier project management to ensure suppliers designs are technically robust, hardware deliverables are met and documentation is complete

  • Visit suppliers for process improvements, product design reviews, and hardware testing,

  • Conduct regular meetings with internal leadership and external customers to update on status and project strategy

  • Work onsite at with suppliers to develop and perform component and system qualification testing such as vibration, thermal, and endurance tests

  • Responsible for coordinating and driving failure root cause and corrective action activities stemming from aircraft issues in service Work on development and review of technical qualification and certification documents to support the overall aircraft certification

  • Drive closure of technical issues and risks

Qualification:

  • Minimum 10 years experience with working knowledge related to the design and qualification of mechanical and electromechanical items.

  • Must possess a bias for action.

  • Must possess great communication skills in person and over phone.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline is required

  • Advanced Degree's in related field are preferred
