Work with production engineering to understand design changes and evaluate impact to structure maintainability, repairability, and maintenance manuals (CMM, SRM, AMM).

Work with engine manufacturers and airframers to perform stress analysis and develop analytical methods for complex technical issues requiring creativity and ingenuity in expanding product repairs and allowable damage limits.

Qualification: -Detailed knowledge of maintenance and repair practices used in the aerospace industry.

  • Ability to apply advanced structural analysis principals to support repair design development on metallic and composite structures. Thorough understanding of load path and load balance and experience in classical hand analysis methods used in Aerospace structural analysis

  • Experience familiar with Nastran (soln's 101, 105, 106) and Patran

  • Detailed understanding of aircraft structural components

  • Posses excellent technical writing and PC skills (specifically MS office suite Outlook Word Excel.)

-Excellent writing and presentation skills. Must be able to deliver a concise message and present technical presentations to executive leadership (bullet points of highly complex technical issues)

-Ability to read & navigate project plans

  • Capable of positively interacting in a team environment and have good listening and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to represent company in technical review meetings and have excellent customer relations and negotiating skills

  • Willing to lead technical teams and mentor engineers with less experience.

-Prepare analysis package to support SRM/CMM repair development for submission to the Type Certificate holder

-Basic understanding of engine mount static, fatigue and crack growth analysis is preferred

Education: BS degree in Engineering w/6-10+ years experience

MS degree in Engineering w/4-7+ years experience

PhD in Engineering w/2-4+ years experience
