The Sr. Supervisor - Aerostructures Airbus Strategic Material Planner is responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall material planning strategy for the entire Airbus program portfolio. This includes translating the decisions and feedback from key stakeholders into material planning policies. These policies will be implemented by the Strategic Material Planner across a global supply base with coordination from supply chain, operations, logistics, and program management. The Strategic Materials Planner will ensure that standard processes, policies, procedures, and tools are maintained and adhered to across the programs in support of effective materials planning. The Sr. Supervisor may have responsibility to manage and provide direction to other team members supporting the program.

Additional responsibilities include various monthly reporting, variance analysis, SAP health measure reporting, SAP training, and master data reporting

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize and lead the monthly strategic material planning meeting with supply chain, operations, and program management

  • Ensure SAP design standards achieve program execution requirements and material planning objectives

  • Create, manage, and update all replenishment policy forms for the portfolio

  • Update SAP with approved replenishment policies using the MRP monitor tool

  • Ensure adequate replenishment and drive optimal average inventory on hand

  • Develop reports and tools as needed to support analytical / information needs in order to facilitate the monthly material planning meeting

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Sites on a recurring basis to ensure that all policies are communicated and flowed down properly to all tactical planners and buyers

  • Work with the central materials management group to develop and deploy Aerostructures wide material replenishment policies

  • Ensure on an ongoing basis, that SAP structure and parameters are accurate and up to date through the deployment of effective materials planning tools and SAP design standards

  • Responsible to ensure that PFEP (Plan For Every Part) strategies align with the overall material planning strategy and manage exceptions

  • Establish an operating framework for the position and create standard job instructions

  • Coordinate with the MDP (Master Data Planning) group on policy changes and new material master creations

  • Actively participates in capacity requirements planning for key manufacturing areas

  • Ensure replenishment policies are in line with SIOP demand data and within the sites capacity constraints

Qualification:

Required:

  • 5 years' experience in Material Planning or equivalent

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)

Preferred:

  • Supply Chain or Finance experience

  • MRP program experience (ie SAP)

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent

  • Leadership or management experience

  • Strong analytical skills
