The Structures Project Engineer will drive technical communication and problem resolution across internal and external functional teams. Responsible for communicating customer product requirements, ensuring compliance to the requirements, and maintaining the Component Engineering task integration efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensuring schedule and activity integration across a cross-functional engineering team in the development and certification of aircraft Structures.

  • Establishing, maintaining, and adhering to a schedule for the development and certification of the Nacelle system.

  • Developing and monitoring resource plans in accordance with Component Engineering activities globally.

  • Reporting project status data to Engineering Management and Program Office in support of monthly project and program reviews.-Adhering to project cost goals by employing active scope and risk management through coordination with Component Engineer and Program Technical Office.

  • Support Component Engineering in customer engagements which may include coordination of program specific requirements, internal requirements, physical/functional interfaces, periodic status telecons, design reviews, and program status reviews.

Qualification:

  • Working knowledge of MS Project, Excel and Word management tools and MS Office suite.

  • High level of organizational and communication skills in order to interact and drive activities within the component engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry development and Nacelle experience is a plus

  • Nothing matters more to UTC Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments. As such, all U.S. positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Engineering Management or, Program/Project Management with 4-7+ years of experience required

  • Master's degree with 2-5+ years of experience preferred
