Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing technical repair support on UTAS nacelle components.

  • Work independently on the development and approval of repair instructions for one off repairs to support UTAS customers such as airlines and repair stations.

  • Collaborate with UTAS Aftermarket and production engineering teams to support requests from internal and external customers.

  • Ability to effectively lead direct reports, encourage team environment, plan and prioritize multiple tasks to support deliverables.

  • Support budget management and resources.

  • Foster a continuous improvement and quality culture.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Is familiar with all of UTAS nacelles, program specific components, repair procedures and program specific requirements.

  • Is able to draw from resources such as SME, chief engineers and airworthiness / regulatory entities from within and outside of Aftermarket.

  • Is familiar with manufacturing and tooling processes and knows production operations of UTAS nacelle components.

  • Must have CATIA, CPD and FIBERSIM knowledge and is highly self-motivated and self-starter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the development of aircraft metallic and composite nacelle and exhaust structural repairs and allowable damages.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and technical understanding of maintenance, repair, and regulatory requirements in the commercial aircraft industry.

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate well with internal and external customers and be driven to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to serve as the key point of contact for internal and external customers on technical issues.

  • Must be able to lead individuals and teams in the generation of standard work for repair development.

  • Ability to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management personnel.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering with 10+ years of experience required.

  • Master's Degree in Engineering with 7+ years of experience preferred.

  • PhD in Engineering with 3+ years of experience preferred.
