In this highly visible role, the employee will drive industrial rate readiness throughout the Value Stream for the Geared Turbofan (GTF) Programs. This position gives the candidate the unique opportunity to have regular contact with every organization across UTAS Aerostructures, our partners, and supply chain. The Industrial Leader is responsible for driving the program’s delivery, quality, and cost goals, while also focusing on identifying and mitigating risk in the medium to long term.

Outlined are some of the expectations of you:

  • Drive accountability across functions to identify and overcome production flow disruption using ACE and Lean tools.

  • Prioritize and manage production readiness assessments including, but not limited to, customer demand changes, single points of failure, and material/engineering change incorporation.

  • Lead capacity assessments for assigned sites and product line.

  • Develop, track and close action items to ensure site capacity and capability supports customer demand.

  • Identify risks to continuing production sustainment, create mitigation plans, and drive actions to closure.

  • Communication of progress and status of Production Readiness activities to the Value Stream leaders.

  • Manage capital expenditure projects for their assigned sites and product line.

  • Identify and execute site inventory management actions

  • Generate and maintain Standard Work for key processes

Qualification:

Required:

  • 5+ years' of experience in Programs, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or Continuous Improvement leading multi-organizational teams or related. Depending on the level of degree, years of required experience may vary (ie AA/AS with 7+ years' or MA/MS with 3+ years' experience)

  • Experience with MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word)

  • Due to federal regulation or contracting requirements, this position is only available to U.S. persons.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Materials Requirements Planning software, such as SAP

  • Manufacturing/Industrial Environment experience

  • Aerospace Industry experience

  • Capacity Planning experience

  • Inventory analysis/management experience

  • Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) experience

  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

  • Expert or advanced skills in MS Excel such as working with pivot tables/reporting, VBA & Macros

  • Experience in implementing ACE, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools and philosophies
