The Data Architect role is part of Data Management and Analytics and will work with other functions on projects related to improving our Business Systems and processes in the Materials area across ASG. He/she will provide project management, systems and communication expertise and serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Projects will mainly be related to demand, supply, inventory control and other key drivers of operational performance. A qualified candidate must be able to manage multiple projects, identify business requirements and build methodology and tools that are statistically grounded but also explainable operationally. A qualified candidate will have the necessary technical skills, the ability to commnictate effectively with internal customers and the ability to learn new concepts/frameworks, algorithms and technology rapidly as changes arise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with other functions on specific projects to improve our data analytics and reporting for processes in Materials management across ASG in the areas of:

  • Materials Planning

  • Production and Detailed Scheduling

  • Demand and Supply Management

  • Inventory Control Partner with internal customers, stakeholders and cross functional teams to translate program requirements into scalable solutions and system designs.

  • Map data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality.

  • Perform data mapping for new and existing systems. Understand different data types, interaction methods and controls.

  • Understand business requirements, perform functional analyses and provide solutions.

  • Develop and effectively communicate business process and business data models.

  • Coordination, research, and analysis to develop business requirements. Develop and maintain project plans for multiple projects.

  • Evaluate key aspects of our operational areas and identify areas for growth and development.

  • Ensure business requirements are within approved scope and conduct traceability evaluations to confirm requirements are appropriately documented. Identify and manage scope concerns, risks, and issues and escalate as appropriate.

  • Create detailed plans for execution and implementation of new processes, including resource requirements and key skills.

Qualification:

  • 7+ years relevant experience in a business analyst or data architect role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with data modeling, data flow diagrams, requirement specifications, use case scenarios, and acceptance testing.

  • Experience in SAP, or other ERP system, including Production Planning, Inventory Mangement, Purchasing, and Logistics and understand operational integration.

  • Strong analytical, design and documentation skills.

  • Hands-on experience with data mining, data exploration and visualization tools (R, Tableau).

  • Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Excellent team worker.

Education:

  • Engineering, Computer Science, Business or other relevant Bachelor's degree.
