Carrier Commercial Service has the need for an Hourly Payroll/Union Contract Administrator which will support the U.S. Commercial Service business. This is an integral position that is responsible for accurate time keeping/payroll for approximately 800 union technicians, accurate administration of 100 local union contracts, plus construction contractor certified payrolls.

General Responsibilities:

Payroll Duties

  • Primary CCS hourly technician payroll contact/expert

  • Work with Field Service leaders to monitor and audit weekly hourly/union employee time submission

  • Confirm weekly feed to ADP, assist in trouble shooting issues

  • Integral part of new employee on-boarding process working with CCS HR and field

  • Accurate fringe rate & deduction setup of all hourly employees in the CCS labor system, StarTrac

  • Provide certified payroll reporting for government customers

  • Data input by this position heavily influences labor costs, incumbent will work closely with CCS Accounting for accurate labor job costing

Union Admin Duties

  • Administration of U.A. National Union agreement and > 100 different union local agreements as they apply to CCS hourly technicians

  • Financial contact for unions

  • Manage all financial union correspondence including rate sheets and local agreements

  • Wage & Fringe rate updates

  • Accurate monthly payments to unions

  • Liaison for union audits

Ideal qualifications for the role include:

  • Payroll & Contract administration experience, ADP experience a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret complex union agreements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Attention to detail and highly organized

  • Commitment to deadlines

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook, ADP & SAP experience a plus

Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of related business experience
