Program Manager, Commodity Management

The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible to coordinate resources across departmental and global boundaries, leads strategic project planning efforts, establishes and drives to milestone achievements. Schedules and leads project reviews, presentations and progress reports. This is a cross functional leadership role with responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, results and metrics.
Drive Carrier’s Schedule B cost reduction priorities by coordinating global Engineering and Supply Chain resources.
Identify regional and global cost reduction opportunities between North America, Europe and Asia.
Drive supply chain collaboration on global platforms to optimize total cost of ownership of common component families.
Drive engineering collaboration on optimizing global designs within component families.
Drive to milestones to deliver project savings on time.
Ensure any supplier resource activities are properly executed and program milestones are tracked and met. Achieve all business targets and priorities for the project.
Conduct high-impact supplier visits. Support the quality team’s efforts in qualifying supplier facilities (ISO, Q+) and production parts (PPAP, FAI, ProCert).
Coordinate and present in senior management and program meetings.
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, energize and motivate geographically-diverse teams and the ability to influence organizations that do not report to you. Strong communication skills with a history of influencing multiple levels of the organization.
Strong project planning and management skills.
Deep experience working, developing and negotiating with suppliers.
Broad experience utilizing supply chain management strategies and tools.
Working knowledge of the product development and manufacturing process (QRB, PRB) as well as the associated expectations of the supply base.
Demonstrates leadership characteristics including organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, focused on results and the ability to build positive relationships
Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture and navigate effectively through the dynamic environment, asking the right questions to craft decision packages and deliver compelling recommendations.
Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization.
BA/BS in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or related discipline and 7+ years of experience.
Master’s Degree/MBA and 5+ years of experience.
