The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. This position will be based out of Charlotte, NC and leads multiple large teams (Collins Central Sourcing for Printed Circuit Boards, Printed Circuit Board Assemblies and Electronics Distribution) headed by Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing managers in execution of supply chain strategies. Develops sourcing standards and operational plans to address capacity issues and production decisions. Oversees all aspects of supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration.
Establishes organization wide sourcing strategies.
Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
Establish strategy to improve commodity management and sourcing effectiveness.
Leads and guides supplier selection based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and details of suppliers' reputation and history.
Oversees all aspects of negotiations, renegotiations and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
Develops a strategic plan for commodities and strategic suppliers.
Responsible for overall relationship with multiple strategic accounts across the given commodities.
Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.
Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed UTC requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.
Responsible to develop cross-functional networks and help break down barriers to success for team.
Strong leadership skills required & responsible to training, mentoring and career development of team.
Approximately 20% travel will be required to various internal and supplier locations.
•Industry related experience within Aerospace or Supply Chain
•Successful leading cross-functional teams
•Previous experience with Global Strategic Sourcing and Commodity Management
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 12 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
