We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to be involved in the calibration and repair of our test equipment.
Follow documented procedures and use electrical and refrigeration schematics
Applies electronic theory to configure, model, layout, build, test, troubleshoot, determine solutions and modify electronic product for engineering efforts applicable to the department or program charter
Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect and analyze design data or otherwise assist in general research and development work.
Performs as member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills, including leadership role. Actively participates in team decision making.
Establishes new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in all work processes.
Utilizes normal and complex test or diagnostic equipment. Uses software tools for data analysis and reporting.
Understands technical resources available to assist in performance of duties.
May provide support/instruction to less experienced technical personnel.
Candidate must follow all safety rules and procedures documented by Collins Aerospace
The position requires either: An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required OR a Bachelor degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and troubleshooting skills required
Electrical and computer knowledge.
Mechanical background including welding skills and knowledge of refrigeration.
Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
The candidate must be highly motivated, self directed, and able to work closely in a positive team environment.
Good communication skills will be required.
The candidate must be able to acquire a EPA approved Universal Refrigeration License and be able to acquire a DOD security clearance.
