Role Overview

This position is for an Industrial Engineer at our Cedar Rapids manufacturing location. You will be tasked with evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process and supplier issues of high quality electronic assemblies. Successful candidates have familiarity with LEAN principles and processes in order to implement efficiency and improve productivity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and understanding of factory needs/requirements

  • Process flow analysis and improvements

  • Developing tools that enable manufacturing or increase production rates

  • Procedure/process improvements

  • Ability to identify and address safety concerns

  • Writing and reviewing technical reports

  • Management of schedules and reporting of performance

  • Improving production facilities and equipment layouts

  • Providing information to management as to the status of equipment, manpower, space, and other elements affecting manufacturing

  • Knowledge and use of LEAN Manufacturing tools

  • Ability to perform PFMEAs

  • Use of CAD, Solidworks, or similar tools for design efforts

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and five years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and three years of prior relevant experience. US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Experience in the Industrial Engineering field is required.

  • Ability to work in CAD tools

  • Familiarity with GD&T
