The Brea site builds and delivers helicopter rescue hoists and winch systems to aircraft operators around the world. The electrical engineering team designs new systems, proposes design changes to existing platforms and also supports the MRO and Operations team with in-service issues. The Brea team is seeking a seasoned Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise to join the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will apply electrical engineering principles to:

  • Design, develop, and implement technologies to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements

  • Produces products according to specifications, using the most cost-effective and efficient means

  • Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components

  • Support the development activities related to Rescue Hoist system

  • Support failure investigations to troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing units

  • Manage implementation schedules including status updates to leadership

Qualification:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in analog and electrical circuit design and analysis for Military or Commercial LRU (Line Replacement Unit)

  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Qualification and Regulatory requirements in the commercial aircraft industry

  • Possess excellent technical writing and PC skills

  • Ability to use or CAD, SolidWorks, NX Ability to work with all levels of engineering, and management personnel and capable of positively interacting in a team environment

  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical systems such as motors and controllers is desirable

  • Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754 is desirable

  • Familiarity with helicopter subsystems highly desirable

  • Experience with Power Factor Correction is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering disciplines and 5+ years’ experience OR

  • Master’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience
