Description:

The Otis Service Center (Otis Elevator) located in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the delivery and execution of various human resource initiatives while supporting approximately 400 employees. This position will provide strategic human resources support to a transforming organization. This role will have an emphasis on aligning human resources initiatives with business strategies & objectives, and promoting a high performance environment. This positon will provide broad HR exposure, leading to potential future leadership opportunities. Activities include the development and execution of programs and initiatives in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, organizational design, leadership & employee development, performance management and change management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Objectively assessing and bringing resolution to employee relations matters

  • Partnering with supervisors to understand key business challenges and organization needs, and delivering programs to meet these needs

  • Facilitating change initiatives through the use of HR consultation skills

  • Counseling managers on variety of topics to improve employee engagement, team development and organizational effectiveness

  • Supporting proactive communication strategies to ensure a constant flow of critical information

  • Strategic workforce planning

  • Management of the full candidate experience through recruitment, pre-employment, onboarding and post-hire

Qualification:

  • 3 years of related Human Resources experience required

  • Experience in demanding and fast-paced manufacturing, operations or business environment

  • Excellent communication with various audiences across multiple organizational levels

  • Knowledge of human resource practices and policies, and applicable state and federal laws

  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and evaluate people

  • Ability to execute initiatives is a timely manner with high quality

  • Model for ethical standards and behavior

  • Knowledge of employment law preferred

  • Previous experience in a customer service or contact center environment preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management or related discipline

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
