Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Improvement Work

  • Oversees Quality Clinic process.

  • Ensure investigations, and relentless root cause analysis are conducted, and immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance are effectively implemented.

  • Maintains strong communication with customers, internal management team, and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met.

  • Monitors and analyzes process/product outputs, for improvement opportunities

  • Manages the site’s EHS and Quality training program

  • Attend daily production meetings to resolve quality issues and satisfy customer demands

  • Provides support to functional leadership by gathering and analyzing Quality information to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Reports on the overall performance of QMS to Mgt. Team and organization, including needs for improvement.

  • Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or Quality Metrics to assure achievement of objectives

  • Corrective and Preventive Actions via utilization via 8D process, QNs, QIM SAP, Dives, 3-Legged 5 Why, Fish Bone, brain storming, MSA, capability studies, and other RRCA problem solving tools.

  • Quality support for New Product Introductions.

  • Promote the use of Ace, Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Mistake Proofing) initiatives

  • Coordinate PPAP process

  • Implementing, monitoring, approving supply base UPPAP requirements, sampling plans, etc.

  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management System (ISO9001)

  • Management Rep. and liaise for the organization for external audits (i.e., customer, regulatory)

  • Owns internal and external audit process

  • Owns the supplier quality process for the site.

  • Drives supplier-quality continuous improvements.

  • Acts as a liaison between site and Central Quality organization

  • Organize and Facilitate the Quality CAB and Management Reviews

  • Ensures integrity of QMS is maintained when changes are planned and implemented

  • Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, measurement systems analysis, process control plans, process flows, key process input/output analysis, and first article reports , risk analysis and assessments.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years progressive experience in related quality role. Experience must include 2+ years in operations or quality of a manufacturing facility and 2+ years in utilizing a Quality Management System (AS9100 or ISO 9001).

  • Previous management experience required. 5+ years getting work done through others by leading complex projects and assisting less experienced professional-level peers required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) including the principles and procedures for compliance of products and processes in a production environment.

  • General knowledge of Management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Certification and/or Six Sigma

  • ASQ - Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence Certification (CMQ/OE).

  • High amount of continuous improvement experience must be evident.

  • Direct reports are 2 QE’s and 5 Technicians

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • General knowledge of Management including principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and developing, and delegating the work of direct reports.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
