Fire and Security Products (FSP) is looking for quality engineers to lead Process Certification. In this role you will report directly to the site Quality Leader (or other quality leadership role as defined by the site) and you will be responsible for certifying the manufacturing process KPC’s. This is a change agent role driving our customer first and ACE culture.

The successful candidate must have hands on manufacturing experience and experience with the following quality tools: PFMEA’s, Controls Plans, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control and Mistake Proofing. In addition, the successful candidate must be self-driven, have strong problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.

Experience/Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a process engineering or industrial engineering role.

  • Able to work on the manufacturing floor to develop and implement robust processes that meet ProCert Milestone 4 requirements.

  • Proven experience using key quality tools including PFMEA’s, Controls Plans, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control and Mistake Proofing.

  • ACE Associate with Lean/Six Sigma experience is ideal.

  • Ideally the candidate will have experience with fire products and/or electronics manufacturing for industrial and consumer products.

  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively interface with design engineers, operations, supply chain, to improve processes and drive customer first quality culture.

  • Travel may be required based on company needs. Must have valid passport or be capable of acquiring one.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations or Project Management within manufacturing facility.

  • ACE Practitioner with Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Proven experience design and developing mistake proof processes which prevent defects from occurring.

  • Multi-lingual and able to communicate in English and (native language of the site)

  • Strong computer skills including Mini Tab and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project),

Education

  • Bachelor degree required. Associate degree with 7+ years of related experience is acceptable.

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology is preferred.
