Advanced Thermal Sciences Corporation (ATS) is a leading supplier of temperature control systems (TCS) and a part of Collins Aerospace. Markets served include semiconductor/microelectronics, aerospace, military, and more. ATS manufactures standard and custom engineered products to provide customers with the right solution. Advanced Thermal Sciences is looking for an energetic Quality/Reliability Engineer to join our team at our Anaheim, CA site.
Reporting to the ATSC Quality Manager, the Quality/Reliability Engineer performs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products by performing the following duties:
Leader in the analysis and quality/reliability review during development of new products as well as long-term reliability analysis
Effective Reliability modeling and Test plan development for new and established products
Support, lead, and mentor the QA team in achieving company goals related Product Reliability and Quality.
Review design inputs (specifications) and design outputs (prints, work instructions, etc.) to assure that appropriate product reliability guidelines are specified and to evaluate/confirm reliability requirements prior to design release.
Provide validation support by applying Quality and Reliability tools including, but not limited to: FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process verification/validation plans, Cpk, SPC, process data analysis.
Lead and/or Participate in complaint investigations and FRACAS implementation, failure analysis of returned products; document findings, provide reports and analysis, and document risk assessment.
Compile and report reliability metrics to present to Management, recommend and implement corrective actions and appropriate follow-up when necessary.
Utilize Structured problem-solving skills in Root cause and Corrective Action analysis and reporting (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience as a Reliability Engineer with Electromechanical systems.
