This UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) business unit is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Operations Manager who is eager to lead, promote and drive all aspects of operational performance across (7+) Global Engines, Airframes and Industrials (GEAI) plant sites. This highly visible position will initiate overdue reduction, inventory management, continuous improvement and process controls to meet the company’s output requirements for Key Customers. The Operations Manager will be responsible to direct the manufacturing and support functions of the Global Engine & Airframe Systems business unit assuring timely and efficient production and distribution of high-quality products.
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience or Master's degree/MBA with 7+ years of experience required.
Knowledge and experience in the areas of supply chain and manufacturing operations is key to success for this position. The position requires extensive customer interface including presentation of delivery recovery plans and day to day status of hardware position in the value chain. Customer and internal cross functional relationship management is very important to this role.
Experience in use of SAP, Microsoft Office Applications, presentation skills, and the ability to work under pressure are key requirements of this position
This role will have frequent engagement with Senior Customer and UTAS Leadership.
Some travel (about 5-7 trips per year) will be required for this position in order to visit customers for reviews as well as UTAS manufacturing sites.
