The Supply Chain Intern is a unique opportunity to gain real-world supply chain experience. The position offers opportunities for exposure to many different disciplines within the UTAS environment. The Supply Chain Intern may work closely with quality, engineering, finance, commodity strategic, compliance, international trade controls, strategic sourcing, other commodities, and senior leadership as required. The individual will be required to support and participate in a team environment. The individual will be an active participant in their overall skill/competency development. They will be responsible for learning to perform in a continuous improvement environment while using Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) tools and adhering to UTC compliance. Strategic • Build and maintain supplier relationships and supplier account management. • Engage in Long Term Agreement activities with strategic sourcing teams Tactical • Execute purchase order placement including engaging in negotiations, maintaining purchase orders and long term agreements to support our MRP requirements. • Interface with assigned suppliers in procurement activities under senior buyer supervision. • Collect and analyze data, develop, track and review metrics, assist with on-time delivery assurance, perform system maintenance, build fundamental supply chain competencies, and manage ad-hoc projects.

Qualification: Excellent computer skills and experience with Excel and PowerPoint A desire to learn SAP. Basic to intermediate understanding of SAP and general MRP concepts, ideally Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications Understanding of procurement business concepts and strategies Forward and strategic thinking with focus on results Highly motivated and personable individual looking to make an impact with their work Due to federal regulation or contracting requirements, this position is only available to U.S. persons.

Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
