This business unit is seeking a Business Development Leader of Military Programs. The Business Development Leader of Military Programs will be responsible for the development and execution of the Military business across UTC Aerospace Systems. This includes Spare Parts Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Contracts Administration and Proposal Management. This individual will also responsible for the development of new business strategies that will grow the business units’ market share in the Military Spares and Logistics markets.

Business Development Leader of Military Programs shall be responsible for:

  • Positioning the organization to take full advantage of Department of Defense initiatives relating to commercialization and subcontracting of services traditionally performed within Military agencies and depots. Provide the overall leadership for customer satisfaction, sales, marketing, delivery, quality and project management of Military Spare parts programs.

  • Meeting profit and cash flow commitments to objectives

  • Providing accurate and timely sales forecast and achieving spare parts order fulfillment requirements to meet customer expectations.

  • Building upon existing relationships with domestic and international customers and developing relationships with potential new customers.

  • Providing one face to the customer on the behalf of UTC Aerospace Systems and taking a lead role in resolving escalated issues.

  • Coordinating and harmonizing practices, approaches and activities as appropriate within Military Aftermarket across the business unit

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience with Aftermarket, Department of Defense initiatives within the aerospace industry.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

  • Proven ability to grow and transform a business through building high performing, diverse teams

  • Ability to create new services and offerings

  • Ability to engage effectively across all layers and functions within the organization and with the customer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Forward thinking

  • Change/dynamic agent

Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university required; an MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
